Hey... It's been a while


How can I start this ...

Let's start with what went well. Well, we had good art and a writing direction from the beginning. Having members who have experience in webtoons production, I think that would never be a problem. We had interesting characters with cool designs as well. The idea of the game was to be a highly interactive visual novel.

Because when we started the project we asked several questions to the community, namely on Reddit and Twitter, about what they would like to see again in a visual novel. And the answer was always the same. “Add a gameplay factor” or “I want to feel that I'm playing and I am making the MC choices significantly”

So our point was straight there. We wanted to have a model of modelling dialogue. We wanted to have a system of emotions. We wanted to have a system of hours in the game, where you had time to talk to certain characters. Anyway, a series of exciting mechanics that you would probably like. We wanted to basically make a game using the visual novel factor. And that's when the crap started ...

What went wrong:

Exchange of Engines 3 times. Absurd spending on assets to have gameplay mechanics. Create Systems and Codes of 0 with junior programmers. Members were unmotivated by the fact that they do not like the genre and wanted to make an RPG. Our data server and backups have died out of nowhere. Our only senior and experienced programmer abandoned the project and blocked everyone on Discord and social networks…. Anyway, a series of sad things happened. And with all of this, I the project leader was lost without knowing what to do…

I went back to doing what I know. That is webtoons. But recently a light came back in the tunnel. I was able to recover the server data and found things from Visual Novel. And with that, an idea of trying again came. But this time more calmly and without climbing things to a very ambitious level. Let's just make a visual novel only. Stable and functional. And when it's done there we will add things. Again calmly and always seeing the staff feedback and the players.
